The Greatest Miracle
John 10:10
“The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy – but I have come that you might have life, and have it abundantly”
One of the most regular questions that we are asked at our Healing Services and other meetings is “ why do you think Jesus healed Sharyn?”
Well, it’s good to have the wonderful gift of life, and to be restored to the family, but there is another reason why Jesus healed people in his earthly ministry, and he is still healing people today
“On the side of a mountain near the sea of Galilee, great crowds came to him… and he healed them. The people were amazed when they saw [the healings]…and they praised the God of Israel.
(Matt 15:30-31)
On another occasion, we see the same response when Jesus healed a paralytic man.
“When the multitude saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God.”
(Matt. 9:8)
Jesus heals to bring glory to the Father, to remind us that satan, sin and death were defeated by Him on the cross.
The bible tells us,
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
(1 John 3:8)
The blood of Jesus Christ was shed to forgive sin and provide a way for your healing. and to bring you into a living relationship with God..
The prophecy declared in Isaiah 53:4-5 was fulfilled on the cross of Calvary – “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes we are healed.”
It’s really important to realise as you read Sharyn’s story that our faith was not in “faith” – our hope was not in “hope”! That’s why we’re not “faith healers” – our faith was and is in Jesus – our hope was and is in Jesus – He is the One whose Name is above all names!
The greatest miracle of all is not a physical healing but a spiritual healing – when the relationship between you and God is restored for eternity.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)
It’s good to be healed physically and we have seen many people healed in our services and meetings – but you can be restored in body – go out and fulfil all your dreams on this earth – and completely ignore the one who healed you!
Jesus said
“what does it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”
(Mark 8:36)
Jesus came that we might have abundant life, and eternal life, and the greatest miracle of all is to know Him as Lord and Saviour.
God’s Word says:
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
(Revelation 3:20)
and
“ .. if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and confess with your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
(Romans 10:9)
If you would like to know Him, here is a short prayer that you can pray right now…
Dear Lord Jesus, I want to thank you for your healing power, And I want to thank you that the greatest miracle of all is know you as Lord and Saviour. I believe You are the Son of God. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation .I ask you now to forgive my sin. Cleanse me with Your precious blood. Come into my heart right now. I receive You as my Saviour and my Lord.. I am Yours, and You are mine. Thank you that I am born again. Fill me with your Spirit , Thank you that life will never be the same again. Amen!

- You’ve made the biggest and best decision in your life – and that’s the greatest miracle of all!

As Alpha Advisers, we would like to suggest that your next step might be to attend an Alpha Course where you can meet some other folk who are finding out more about Jesus. If you email us we can let you know the nearest course to you where you live.
Be sure to let us know, so that we can pray for you.
